Land Acknowledgement
Located in Mni Sota Makoce (Minnesota), our office resides on the homeland of the Dakota and Anishinaabe peoples—land that was stolen from them by force and through treaties that were not honored. Despite centuries of colonial theft and violence, this is still their land, and it will always be their land.
Given our organization’s focus on placemaking, we recognize that questions of land justice for America’s Indigenous people must play an important part in our work. We acknowledge the great responsibility and honor of standing in solidarity with Native nations and ask those who partner with us to commit to the same.
